Using wax linen over my hand but vase I was able to transform this lovely piece from a not to simple form to an even more provocative piece. The organic shape lent its self to the movement of the thread. This first in a series of combining weaving with clay.
Dark clay with black and white strokes wax resist. Black waxed linen stitched in looping technique over the vase.
